Due to the forecast of severe weather for tomorrow, all schools in the RCSS will be closed tomorrow, Monday (3/16/26).

Please join us in congratulating Southwestern Randolph High School on winning the Randolph County School System 2026 High School Battle of the Books Competition!
This year, we were excited to have four of our high schools (SWRHS, THS, WHS, and PGHS) participate. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm, preparation, and teamwork from each team. The growth of the High School Battle of the Books program across RCSS is exciting, and we are grateful for the students, coaches, and media specialists who continue to support and expand this opportunity.
Congratulations again to Southwestern Randolph High School and to all of the teams who participated. We look forward to seeing this program continue to grow in the years ahead!

Tenth-grade students from across Randolph County recently visited the Richard Petty Education Center at Randolph Community College to explore the diverse certificate, diploma, and associate degree opportunities offered in the Automotive Systems Technology program. The visit included a tour of the Randolph County School System’s bus garage. Wendy Anderson, the RCSS Transportation Director, facilitated engaging hands-on activities with her staff, allowing students to gain insights into various career paths within the automotive industry.

5 SWRHS girls advanced to the NCHSAA 4A State Championship Swim Meet, held on Thursday, Feb 12 in Cary, NC.
Isabella Tolar, Piper Blackmon, Caroline Becker, and Riley Clapp all advanced to states in the 200 medley relay.
(Kyla Farmer was our amazing alternate)
They placed 21 out of 24. 🎉🎉🎉
Caroline Becker also swam two individual events at States.
Caroline placed 28 out of 32 in her 200 individual medley and placed 19 out of 32 in her 100 breaststroke AND dropped an amazing 7 seconds, for an incredible personal best!!
Savannah Davis and Kendall Hagerman were selected to swim a relay along with Kyla Farmer and Isabella Tolar at regionals but unfortunately, regionals were canceled due to the weather.
All seven of these girls have worked so hard and improved tremendously. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish next year.!
Way to go, ladies!! GO COUGARS!
