🐄🌾 7th Graders on the Move! 🌿🐓
Students from Uwharrie Ridge 6–12 had an exciting day of hands-on learning as they visited the A&T Farm! They explored dairy farming, poultry farming, and got up close with a variety of small animals 🐐🐮🐥.

The adventure didn’t stop there — they were warmly welcomed by SW Randolph High School and the FFA officers for a deep dive into the high school AG program! Students enjoyed a delicious hotdog lunch 🌭 and explored AG mechanics, animal science, and horticulture. 🌻🔧

Thank you to our hosts for inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders! 💚💛 #AGeducation #FutureFarmers #FFA #UwharrieRidge #HandsOnLearning

Thank you to the NC Council on the Holocaust and the NC Holocaust Foundation for their generous donation of 30 Night books for our English department. We truly appreciate this donation! This is such an important novel and will be used by Ms. Hamilton this semester as our primary text during our unit on the Holocaust.

After today's Early Release, SWRHS staff members gathered for a delicious lunch made by our Cougar Culinary program, a brief presentation about retirement planning from ValuTeachers, and a valuable professional development session by RCSS Title III Specialist, Laura Porcelli Luquet, and SWRHS ESL Teacher, Mr. Colli Chan, on "Empowering Multilingual Learners: Effective Vocabulary Instruction Across the Content Areas." To add some fun to the afternoon, the staff pranked our beloved Lead Teacher, Ms. Chamblee, by bringing their own chairs to the Media Center for the session!
