Randolph County School System is proud to recognize Southwestern Randolph High School student Alex Perdue for a special moment in the spotlight!
Yesterday, Alex was featured as the “Weather Kid” on WGHP Fox8 alongside meteorologist Van Denton. A resident of Denton, Alex is already sharing his passion by delivering local weather and news updates to his community.
In recognition of Autism Acceptance Month, an exception was made to the program’s typical age requirement—highlighting Alex’s dedication, talent, and bright future in broadcasting.
Alex represents Randolph County with pride, and we can’t wait to see where his passion for weather and news takes him next!
